Who We Are

The Sunflower, as the symbol of Sisu Senehasa, represents the idea that, just as a sunflower blooms and thrives under the nurturing rays of the sun, underprivileged children can flourish and grow through education and care. It symbolizes hope, resilience, and the bright future that education brings to those who seek affection and opportunity.

Every Child Deserves a
Better Future!

At Sisu Senehasa, we believe that every child has the right to a brighter future. Our mission is to support underprivileged students in Sri Lanka through our scholarship program. Many talented students face significant barriers due to financial constraints and lack of emotional support. We are dedicated to identifying these individuals and providing them with the necessary assistance to help them excel academically.

Focus Area

  • Anuradhapura District is among the three poorest in Sri Lanka.
  • The district has a high rate of parental deaths due to Chronic Kidney Disease.
  • It also has a low school density. Focusing on a single district simplifies program administration.

How We Empower Students

Through our scholarship program, we focus on helping students who are motivated to achieve higher education despite their challenges. In Sri Lanka, where education is highly valued, many children are compelled to abandon their studies due to insufficient financial resources. Our commitment is to empower these deserving students by offering scholarships that cover their educational expenses from the sixth grade through university.
